It's me and my sister who lost their husband and all the children. From the heart of our small shelter we send you our greetings and hope you are well
My name is Hamdi Muqdad and I am a 22-year-old student. I live in the devastated city of Gaza, where killing, bombing and demolition rage. My only remaining sister and I live in a tiny shelter after we have lost our home and all our household members, including my mother, my older brother, my younger brother, my sister and her children, her husband and my aunt and her family, in the bombing that was aimed at our home. I studied information and communication technologies at the University of Gaza, but did not postgraduate due to the outbreak of war and hard conditions. I talk to you from the heart of hunger and unprecedentedly advanced costs of surviving in the world, where there are no basic means of surviving worthy. All border crossings have been closed for months, and we can't bring food or medication. There's no life here. We live in tents that don't defend us from the heat of the sun or the cold of winter. No food, no water, no fuel, no gas to cook. Every morning we look for firewood to light a fire so we can cook any water and food for animals that are unfit to eat. I'm a young man at the beginning of my life. I want this war to be over and I want to live a decent life, free from wars, killing and resettlement. I want to eat, drink water and take medicine. I am a university student with aspirations for education and university diplomas, but unfortunately this will not happen during my stay in the Gaza Strip. I gotta leave soon, and it takes a very large sum of money to leave. I'm not here to ask for sympathy or sadness, but alternatively to explain to you what we're going through. I ask you to share my communicative as widely as possible so that we can convey this message to the full planet and to anyone who has a surviving conscience. Thank you. A Way to aid Gaza
