On x.com, there was a heated discussion between the head of the Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs Radosław Sikorski, billionaire Elon Musk and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The spark became an inflammatory commentation by Muska regarding the Starlink strategy in Ukraine.

The full substance began with Sikorski's reaction to Elon Musk's statement, in which he suggested that if he had decided to exclude Starlink for Ukraine, “the full front would have fallen.” The Polish minister did not leave this declaration without comment, what happened to the harsh reaction of Musk himself.

“Be quiet, small man. You pay a tiny part of the cost. And there is no substitute for Starlink," wrote Musk on the X platform.

Even before Musko spoke, American Secretary of State Marco Rubio joined the discussion. He accused Sikorski of “making up”.

“No 1 threatened to cut Ukraine off from Starlink. And say thank you, without Starlinka Ukraine would have lost this war a long time ago, and the Russians would be bordering Poland now," Rubio wrote.

Sikorski answered these words in a more diplomatic way:

“Thank you, Marco, for confirming that the brave soldiers of Ukraine can number on the essential online service provided jointly by the US and Poland. Europe and the United States can jointly aid Ukraine to accomplish fair peace," wrote the head of the Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs.

Radosław Sikorski besides stated that Poland is financing a crucial part of Starlink's infrastructure in Ukraine. The Ministry of Digitization allocates about $50 million a year to this purpose.

“Starlinks for Ukraine are paid by the Polish Ministry of Digitization at around $50 million a year. Apart from the ethical threat of the victim of aggression, if SpaceX turns out to be an incredible supplier, we will be forced to look for another suppliers," Sikorski wrote.

According to information provided by the Polish government, Poland presently maintains 25 1000 Starlink sets in Ukraine, and in late February another 5 1000 were ordered.

The full situation may have long-term consequences for Poland's cooperation with US private entities and relations with the US.
