Poland and AfD. 2 Faces Alternatives for Germany
(Okład. PCH24.pl)
An alternate for Germany appears to many Poles as the only sensible political force in the West Germany. That's a beautiful legitimate view. However, sympathy for the rational communicative of AfD must not obscure the wider picture.
However, sympathy for the rational communicative of AfD must not obscure the wider picture. In addition to the face friendly to Poland by Götz Froming, with which prof. Andrzej Nowak debated, there is inactive a face... Erika Steinbach.

Nationalists and Nationalists
However, it should be remembered that the alternate has a somewhat different face towards Poland. To get a full image of this party, you gotta remember both. Part of the AfD electorate are besides German nationalists, who swarm over the restoration of the erstwhile German borders, for example from 1918, enlarged by Austria (in Austria there is no shortage of supporters of merging into 1 state existence). This means wanting to take over the alleged Polish lands recovered. Whether this imagination is real and so serious, I do not want to justice at this point – rather adequate to say that in order to accomplish the full objectives of the RFN it would besides gotta "recover" Körywiec, the present Kaliningrad Oblast... Either way, the Germans about the revisionist attitude are among the AfD voters. The second of the problematic groups from the Polish position – partially connecting with the first – are people connected with the environment of the alleged "groom". It is about descendants of people fleeing or expelled from Polish lands after planet War II. Even if the local communities seldom or never study revisionist demands on territorial issues, they anticipate to rewrite the past of planet War II again, so that the suffering of their families will be at the center – and from Poland financial redress.

Alice Weide mentions the suffering of the Silesian father
Steinbach's transition to AfD was a shock to many. organization transfers do not happen in Germany very often, and Steinbach has been firmly embedded in the German unchangeable for years. She can't be denied any courage and ability to think independently, that's for sure. Her background on the AfD episode was not gross, due to the fact that with these threads she can even play... Alice Weidel, the second next to Tino Chrupalli the party's chief. In 2024, Weidel gave an interview to the Austrian magazine "Der Eckart", where she spoke about her household history. ‘Yes, Weidel is simply a advanced Silesian surname. My household from my father's side is from Leobschütz. I have always been reluctant to see what the Polish name of the city sounds like and before calling it something else," she said. Interestingly, the name Głubczyce is the first name of the city. The name ‘Leobschütz’ is simply a German distortion created in the mediate Ages. In the same interview, Weidel was besides asked about the words of Maximilian Krah, who was the leading candidate of the AfD to the European Parliament. In an interview with the Italian “La Repubblica” Krah said, “I would never say that anyone who wore an SS uniform was automatically a criminal.” He added: “There was surely a large percent of criminals there, but not all of them would.” As a result, Krah was excluded from the AfD campaign.
A year earlier, Alice Weidel wrote on social media that the alternate for Germany has advanced support “in central Germany” (Mitteldeutschland). In fact, however, it was the east lands. The word “Mitteldeutschland” was utilized after the war in Germany to describe the GDR if the border with Poland was questioned – then the word “East Germany” (Ostdeutschland) was reserved for Polish western lands.
Complex Image
Zyomkowska card Erika Steinbach, circumstantial statements by Alice Weidel – all of this must be remembered in order to get a more complex image of the alternate for Germany. This should not in any way obscure the considerable possibilities of cooperation between Poles and AfD, even in strategical areas specified as the fight against illegal migration, sex ideology, green transformation or EU centralism. In case of readiness alternate to cooperation with Russia, 1 should remember that this is typical German optics: AfD differs from another groups due to the fact that present it is Gerhard Schröder and Angela Merkel who opened Nord Stream, not Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla.
Today, the parties of German mainstream are declaring themselves anti-Russian, but as far as credible assurances are concerned, it will only show time. There are many indications that – whether Poles like it or not – the alternate is simply a organization of the future. In the polls, he builds an expanding advantage over competition, wants to vote for it a increasing group of young people, another parties, especially the CDU, willingly copy her program... But people usually like the first to the fake, as AfD politicians themselves say. Given this, relations with alternate activists request to be built in Poland. They will be difficult, but they are essential – like the full Polish-German relationship.
