Increased NATO presence in Poland. The president signed the document

President Karol Nawrocki signed the decision to grant approval to reside in the territory of the Republic of Poland a component of abroad troops of the States-States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, as a reinforcement of the Republic in the framework of Operation "Eastern Sentry".

The National safety Office on the X platform informed about the signature on Sunday. The order is classified.

Operation NATO "Eastern Sentry" (East Guard) is intended to increase the safety of the east flank of the alliance.

The east Sentry program [“Eastern Guardian” at ed.] was developed to make the North Atlantic Alliance reaction to the east flank. According to NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, the initiative will affect "a scope of resources from Denmark, France, Britain and another countries".

"NATO will do everything to deter enemies and defend allies," Rutte explained.
