Due to the ceremony of Pope Francis and the declared national mourning, the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Polish Crown was postponed.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed on X about the change in the date of the ceremony:
"In connection with the announcement by the president of Warsaw's mourning, the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Polish Crown, including the performance and the drone show, will take place next Sunday, not as planned, on Saturday. See you later!”
President Duda announces national mourning
Earlier, Wojciech Kolarski, head of the President's Office of global Policy, said that president Andrzej Duda had decided to establish the day of the ceremony of Pope Francis (April 26) the day of national mourning.
"Presidential decree requires a countersignate of Prime Minister and specified paper will be handed over by president Margaret Paprocka's Chancellery to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister" explained Kolarski.
The president and her wife, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, will attend ceremony ceremonies in the Vatican.
