The Left wants to hit the memory of the Cursed Soldiers. On National Day of Memory, a bill was announced to guarantee redress for the “victim of the Cursed Soldiers”. Now the task has been presented.
"Soldiers of the anti-communist underground of independency after the war fulfilled their work to the Homeland. The Cursed Soldiers, the elite of the Polish Army, the heroes of those years, are people whose good name we should care about and it is our duty. These words are besides confirmed by the resolution of the Polish Sejm – the Cursed Soldiers have served their homeland. The Sejm besides established the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers to celebrate their fight for Poland's independence" – late wrote representatives of patriotic communities, reacting to attempts to defame and defame the memory of the Unbreakable Soldiers.
In the meantime, the Left wants to do this: smear this memory by presenting the cursed as criminals.
For all Pole who knows postwar history, it is apparent that the activities of the Cursed Soldiers abounded in deep and heroic acts of patriotism and faithfulness to God. It is besides clear that in specified hard times not everything was perfect. In respective incidents, there have besides been apparent crimes against the civilian population. The problem is that left-wing environments are trying to show all Soldiers cursed by an highly narrow prism. This is simply a clear effort to hit a cult that is crucial to Polish memory, yet aimed at undermining patriotism in general.
According to Magdalena Biejat, who is the firm of the bill, the National Army should be worshipped in Poland, not the Cursed Soldiers; honor to the Cursed should be "sucked out" as it "mixes heroes with war criminals".
It was for this reason that the Left presented the bill "on the compensation of victims and families of victims of crimes committed against a national, spiritual or racial background from 1945 to 1946". The content of this task was published on Thursday 20 March.
The Left predicts that the “victims of the Cursed Soldiers” and their loved ones will receive $50,000 in damages. The money is to be paid by the Office of Combatants and Represented Persons. The explanatory memorandum refers, of course, to Romuald Rajs' case, “Burego”. His troops were besides liable for the deaths of the civilian population.
A fewer years ago, Krzysztof Bosak spoke very highly about this.
– We should approach the Cursed Soldiers like Joseph Pilsudski. The size of his figure in Poland is unquestionable, and after all, over 400 victims were active in the coming to power. Is this the key through which we see this character historically? No, we remember Joseph Piłsudski for another things, specified as his function in regaining independence. I think it's the same way to look at the Cursed Soldiers. – he pointed out.
– Romuald Rajs fought for free Poland for about 10 years, of which he is accused that in 1 year his people committed crimes on civilians. We should see things in proportion. – he added another time.
There is no uncertainty that the effort to bring the full activity of “Burego” to the reprehensible actions of his troops is absurd; the more absurd and deceitful past is to present in this highly narrow position the full heroic activity of the Cursed Soldiers.
Meanwhile, the bill proposed by Lewica treats everything uniformly, which clearly signals the desire to depreciate the Acquis of the Cursed, in accordance with the agenda of the communist authorities of the Polish People's Republic.
"They, the losers, have someway saved Poles' honour against the Yalta betrayal and russian occupation. Unbreakable towards traitors, collaborators of the UB, towards those who were broken by torture, towards those who fell into a sense of hopelessness and thus already surrendered and succumbed to a fresh occupation, towards conformists" – the Metropolitan of Krakow, Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski, spoke about the Klonded last year.
He recalled the beautiful words of 1 of the Cursed, Łukasz Ciepliński, waiting to die at the hands of russian executioners:
I am glad to be murdered as a Catholic for holy faith, as a Pole – for homeland and as a man – for fact and justice. I believe more than always that Christ will prevail, Poland will regain independence, and disgraced human dignity will be restored. It's all my fault, my religion and my happiness.
This is all being struck present by the Left, proposing its shameful bill.
