Although the Confederate voted against the vote of assurance for the Donald Tusk government, this organization declares its willingness to cooperate in areas that are in line with its programme. Mr Płaczek pointed out concrete solutions that could be supported by his group.
Voting of assurance for the government – consequence of the vote
On Wednesday, the Sejm expressed a vote of assurance for the Donald Tusk government. 243 Members voted in favour, 210 against. The vote took place after the failure of Rafał Trzaskowski in the presidential election, which prompted the Prime Minister to apply for Parliament's support.
Crying: It was an act of political theatre
Confederate MP Grzegorz Płaczek commented on the vote on Polish Radio 24, calling it a "political theatre act".
– We knew very well that no 1 from the current coalition would stand a chance against the Prime Minister. I think the consequence was long-term. – he said. – It was not a vote of confidence, it was a political play to discipline the coalition. This is no surprise to us.
Parliamentarian announced that "We will witness more theatres, more promises that Poles must wait for the government to get to work".
The Confederation supports deregulation
Despite criticism of the government's actions, The Confederation declares its support for any of the proposed solutions, especially those concerning deregulation.
– If something is in line with our programming line and our ideals, we do not close to working together. That's the policy. – said Płaczek.
Prime Minister Tusk has already announced the submission of further deregulation projects in the Sejm, including concerning the gas market. – In May, despite a long weekend, we will work to present deregulation laws as shortly as possible – announced the head of government.
What's next?
Although the Confederacy remains opposed to most of the government's actions, its willingness to cooperate in selected areas may affect the course of parliamentary work. In the coming weeks, it is worth observing which projects will be supported by this formation.
