The European Union is implementing a number of policy initiatives to accomplish climate neutrality by 2050, which is displeasure among farmers. Despite erstwhile support for the Green Deal by Janusz Wojciechowski of the Law and Justice, the European Union is now working on further restrictions, this time concerning older car owners. The fresh rules are intended to improve air quality by reducing exhaust emissions, which can affect owners of older vehicles, including Poles.
According to the latest information, the European Union plans to introduce regulations to limit the repair of older vehicles that contribute to pollution. The proposal, drawn up by the European Commission, involves the gradual withdrawal of the oldest and most environmentally harmful vehicles for green cars. These plans will introduce the concept of ‘removable vehicles’, i.e. cars considered technically unrepairable or damaged, which will should be scrapped.

‘Residual vehicles’, as defined in the ‘Fit for 55’ programme of the European Union, are vehicles with main components, specified as engines, gearboxes, brakes or steering systems, and vehicles considered old (approximately 15 years).
After designation as residue, they will not undergo crucial repairs and are likely to be scrapped. The Regulation lays down the conditions under which a vehicle may be considered technically irreparable or damaged, including extended harm specified as cuts, welding, burning, immersion or irreversible method defects.
The EU is besides seeking to ban the sale of fresh cars with combustion engines by 2035, which will mean that low-carbon or emission-free vehicles must be used. However, questions stay open about how these plans are implemented, especially in the context of Poland, which may encounter difficulties in adapting to fresh regulations. For the time being, there is besides no full clarity as to the destiny of vehicles considered historical and the date of entry into force of the ban on the repair of older cars.
Improving air quality and reducing exhaust emissions are long-term objectives of the European Union. Therefore, provisions may shortly be introduced which will hit the owners of older cars, including Poles. According to Euroweeklynews.com, due to the future elimination of interior combustion engines, The European Union is developing a plan to reduce the repair of older vehicles. This project, pending approval, aims to phase out the most polluting vehicles for more environmentally friendly. The Regulation, pending approval by the European Parliament and the Council, introduces the concept of "removable vehicles". What are they? The European Union against older vehicles - will this be a scrapping order?
