The Sejm received a bill amending the Act on State Property Management Principles and on the principles of the remuneration of directors of certain companies. The draft assumes that the word of office of the 5 companies is 5 years. It is about Orlen, Polfe, Gaz-System, Polish Energy Networks and Oil tube Operation Companies. The fresh Council will gotta give its consent to the appeal of circumstantial persons from the authorities of these companies.
This council is to be composed of 3 persons designated by the Sejm, 1 designated by the legislature and 1 designated by the President. The word of office of the members of that council is to be six years. They are to execute their functions without remuneration and receive reimbursement of expenses (for tolls or accommodation).
“The government realizes that they are going to end. Usually, erstwhile power changes, pigs change at the trough, in state-owned companies, and this authority wants to concreteize for six years the power of companies.” said Jakub Kulesza, president of the ellipse of the Polish Confederation.
"The body model that this council advocates, we are already well known. This is simply a clone of the National Media Council. The virtual body, made up of Members, without office and budget, has no organization form, so no strategy will be involved. It will only deal with ownership supervision of state-owned companies," said Krzysztof Bosak.
"Hope is that the Law and Justice Office is preparing to lose power in Poland. The sad conclusion is that the Law and Justice organization is preparing to quit power, but it wants to hold power in the substance of the most crucial to itself, that is, in the companies of the state. It is natural that if there is simply a large trough, pigs change at the trough, and our goal is to destruct the trough.”
During the Confederacy conference, the PiS spokesman, Radosław Fogiel, said in the media that his organization was withdrawing this task from the Sejm.
