GURGAON- SpiceJet (SG) inaugurated its Hajj operations on Thursday (May 9, 2024), with the first flights departing from Srinagar (SXR) to Medina (MED), branding the communication of this year's holy pilgrimage.
These specialized flights utilized 2 left wide-body Airbus A340 aircraft, each capable of seating 324 passengers.

SpiceJet Begins Hajj Flights
Alongside Srinagar, SpiceJet will operate speciality Hajj flights from Guwahati, Gaya, Bhopal, Indore, Aurangabad, and Vijayawada.
Accepting to airline officials, the A340 aircraft will be utilized for operations from Srinagar and Guwahati.
Last year, SpiceJet generated revue of INR 337 crore from Hajj operations. The airline results even large return from its Hajj operations for the current year.
In addition to the A340 aircraft, SpiceJet will utilize its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for these peculiar Haj flights.

In Jan 2024, the Gurgaon-based carrier launched flights to Ayodhya from Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Special flights with 737 MAX
The inaugural Hajj flight from Srinagar was flagged off by CPS Bakshi, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of number Affairs, Javed Anjum, Airport manager of Srinagar global Airport, and another dignitaries.
SpiceJet will conduct peculiar flights from Srinagar, Gaya, Guwahati, Bhopal, Indore, Aurangabad, and Vijayawada to Medina from May 9 to May 31. Return flights from Jeddah are scheduled between June 22 and July 15.
SpiceJet plans to operate 102 peculiar flights, serving over 13,800 pilgrims during this peculiar operation.
