‘Jesus answered them, Have religion in God! Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Get up and throw yourself into the sea”, and does not uncertainty the soul, but believes that what he says will happen to him.”
What is human faith, and what is God’s faith?
Human religion is essential in everyday life. We must believe in the evidence of people, like Antarctica, even if we were never there. We believe it's snow, even if we haven't seen it. It's a natural religion that can be proven materially.
What is God’s faith? It is simply a religion connected with the promise God has given us. It's religion in God's power. God created everything that exists, his omnipotence, he created this planet and took care of it. He created it for a purpose. We believe in God the Creator. We besides believe in God the Savior – we believe that the boy of God has become man and died for our sins. And we besides believe God’s word. Furthermore, in order to have the religion of God that performs miracles, we must accept grace erstwhile God shows us that He wants to be glorified in this situation and that He requires us to proceed in faith, not in doubt. The test of religion will come to everyone, so we must overcome the doubts in our hearts. God’s religion is simply a gift we must ask for.
But there is simply a danger that individual will ask for something that does not conform to God's will, and vice versa – it can even do large harm. God will not hear specified religion and man will rebel. Then the responsibility lies with a man who has an unclean heart, who did not search God’s will and who did not ask for light.
God’s religion fills us erstwhile we unite with Jesus. We are already united with him through the Sacrament of Baptism and sanctifying the grace of God erstwhile we are not in a grave sin, or a state of hostility to God. The power of God works through Jesus Christ, who is within us if we are crucified with Him at this moment. erstwhile our disbelief and doubts are crucified with Him, He can act.
1. What sin can prevent you from seeing God’s work?
Mt 13,58
The other of religion is not doubt, but disbelief. uncertainty simply requires more facts! Unbelief is disobedience, refusal to act according to God’s command.
FAITH OBJECTIVE
2. What should not be the object of our faith, although frequently is?
Ps 33,16-17
Ps 146,3
Prov 3.5
Prov 28,26
Jr. 9,22
Which of these false objects of religion is the most dangerous to you? What are the inevitable consequences of relying on these things?
3. What should be the object of your faith? Mk 11,22
4. Consider the following in the light of the 2 erstwhile points:
“I know it will work! I have large faith” (Note! SLOW LIGHT!)
"I don't have much faith, but I'll try."
