Paganity... Vedic prayer began the 3rd day of the Democratic Convention

The 3rd day of the National Democratic organization Convention began with the prayer of a Vedic priest. This was meant to be an expression of organization engagement in issues of diversity and inclusion.

The prayer was led by the Indian-American priest Rakesh Bhatt, who asked for a blessing for the united country. A man from Bengaluru, fluent in respective languages, spoke of the request for unity and justice for all. – We should be unanimous. Let our minds think together. Let our hearts beat like one. Anything for the sake of society. Let it make us powerful so that we may unite and make our nation proud He appealed.

Bhatt is simply a priest at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple in Maryland. He trained in Riga and Tantrasaara (Maadhva) Agama under his guru, Pejavar Swamiji of Udupi Ashta Math.

Deputy Head of National Finance of the Democratic Party, Ajay Bhutoria, noted that "Indian prayer Rakesh Bhatta on the DNC is an crucial moment, showing the Democratic Party's commitment to inclusiveness and diversity." He added that prayer besides reflects the increasing Indian influence in the United States.

The priest urged Americans to elect a leader who believes in the Vedic concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (“the full planet is 1 family”).

Vedic religion (the oldest phase of Indian religion – Hinduism) is characterized by an extended sacrificial ritual (the venom), associated with the worship of deities, alleged deva, superhuman beings, endowed with immortality, embodying phenomena of nature, specified as god of fire, god of the sun, god of wind, etc. The harmony of the universe, both in the macrocosm, and in the microcosm, or in the body of a surviving being, depends on the sacrifices for these deities.

Vedic ethics is promoted in many projects related to the transformation of the planet towards sustainable development. It can be found in promoted models of management, e-government, etc.

The paper was published in connection with the global Conference on Circuit Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT) in 2023.

Scientists proposed an e-government model based on: Vedic texts, alleged artificial intelligence, cloud computing and expanded reality to "build a sustainable and global democratic paradigm of e-government". It is explained that "ethical standards will be based on Vedic sciences, and the effectiveness of management procedures will be enhanced by the usage of cloud computing technology and artificial intelligence. To supply citizens with more engaging and participatory experience erstwhile utilizing government services, expanded reality will be applied. By enabling citizens to participate in decisions through net forums and social media platforms, this approach aims to advance openness and accountability. The strategy aims to build a more effective and moral form of governance that strengthens citizens and encourages sustainable improvement by integrating these technologies and ideas."

It added that “vedic writings can be utilized as a management model due to the fact that moral values can increase the sustainability and effectiveness of government structures. In all aspects of life, including management, the Vedic texts emphasise the importance of honesty, integrity and accountability. The government can make a more moral and environmentally friendly model that is open to the concerns of its constituents by implementing these concepts into the e-government system. The effectiveness and efficiency of government procedures can besides be enhanced by utilizing AI and cloud computing technology. AI can be utilized to personalise suggestions for citizens based on their requirements and automate monotonous tasks specified as data input and analysis. The computing cloud can aid the government securely store data, get fast access to it, and support communication and information exchange between respective departments and organisations."

At the July Republican Convention in Milwaukee, the Sikhs prayed. It was led by Harmeet Kaur Dhillon, a Republican activist.
