“The state of Polish sport, especially squad games, is simply a sad reflection of the state of the Polish state.” The entry grew ugly and inactive serves as an asumpt to unspeakable jokes from the head of the state. That doesn't change the fact that Duda was right. If he added that the second pillar of our sports disasters is typical for Poles the mentality of eternal losers would be 100% right.
For respective weeks I have been proceeding constant complaints about the performance of Polish footballers on the Qatari mundial. What an anti-football, what an ugly style. What a shame in front of the full world... Constantly sarcasm on the crap of the Polish ball. And you're right. Only that you yourselves are architects, builders and fixtures.
It's you fans who have no ambition. For years, you've been putting up with crap and hopelessness. On both typical and club level. You are excited about the struggles in our backyard league, consistently failing to see it as the absolute margin of European football. You feed fat cats for decades parasitising you, both at the level of the sports union, consecutive leagues of competitions, and individual clubs. And you're always hoping for a miracle. On the level of representation of the miracle, the coach is expected to do the usual. From abroad, preferably. Best with a known name.
When the last of your miracle workers wrapped up their bags and left you with a mess, the PZPN rapidly hired Czesław Michniewicz. mostly due to the fact that he had to, but besides due to the fact that it was easy to throw him into the food. The fresh selector got 3 assignments. All 3 on the line of impossibility. He was expected to keep staff in the League of Nations. He was to advance to the planet Cup finals. And finally, he was expected to leave the group for the first time in 36 years. To surprise everyone, he achieved all 3 goals.
It was his biggest mistake. You had to fall off in the barracks, or play conventional games from poverty: openings, everything and honor. Then the Poles could throw in a network prepared from above memes and sing ritual “nothing happened, nothing happened!” And for the next 4 years, feed on empty hopes.
Michniewicz's mistake was to show that he could. That the Polish kicked ball has the possible to do more than background for planet leaders. But it's not done overnight. It takes effort. Work and consequences. That's what we're not capable of. Not just in this area. alternatively of working hard, it's better to number on a miracle erstwhile all 4 years. And erstwhile this 1 doesn't happen to sacrifice the scapegoat. And proceed to howl the cursed “nothing happened, Poles did nothing!” Meanwhile, it just happened.
If after you got free of the hated Michniewicz you felt better, I have any bad news for you. It is not Michniewicz, or even PZPN, who are the main problems of Polish football. You are. With your mentality of eternal losers, feeling sorry for their own misfortunes. incapable to draw conclusions. incapable to improve their fate. Even if you throw out a 100 selectors, nothing will change. Until you grow up to change.
In all of this, it's only a pity for a man. He didn't deserve what you did to him.
