The words which the "minister" of the national education (!!!) read at the ceremony in Auschwitz were addressed to external audiences and aimed at damaging Poles and the Polish state. They may have unintelligently reached the "national market" causing shock and amazement of the Polish public. It is hard to imagine that Mrs Nowacka invented "Polish Nazis" herself, who built camps on their own initiative during the German occupation.
While leading left-wing politicians have frequently shown uplifting historical ignorance, it is improbable that Mrs Nowacka would realize the absurdity of these words.
All that remains is conjecture and speculation, who could have been the author of the shameful text and why the "minister" agreed to read it.
Jacek Kurski recalled a equally shocking communicative from 2003 erstwhile Donald Tusk said to the head of the German Union of Exiles Erika Steinbach:
“We can go to Rumi together, we can look for a home together, and I will be the first to say in both languages that we ‘welcome you home’. I have no problem with that. Many Poles said specified words to their German – in a sense – neighbors.”
The president of the German revisionists Erik Steinbach was born in 1943, as the daughter of a German officer seconded to service in occupied Poland and housed, whose residents were murdered or evicted by Germans.
Very active at the time, president Steinbach, who never gave up territorial claims against Poland, besides raised the issue of compensation for German property left in the areas assigned to Poland after 1945. At the "Exiles" convention in Berlin on 3 September 2003, Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder tried to subdue her zeal somewhat by saying:
‘Don't tease the victim who's pushing herself into our hands., trust my method, I will supply you with east lands in specified a way that present their administrators, Poles, will inactive be grateful to you for yet becoming Europeans".
It looks like words of mine. Nowacka at the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp is simply a part of work on our transformation into "Europeans", and this process has been carried out consistently for respective decades.
