We live in a time in which freedom of speech should be a sacred value – so the Liberals and the Left keep telling us. They wear pluralism, dialog and another akin nonsense on their banners. In the meantime, it takes 1 uncomfortable step aside, 1 question incompatible with their rhetoric, and abruptly this "magic freedom" disappears. Then you can hear the RUSSKA ONUCA.
This is not about whether we should support Ukraine or not. The point is that in many smiling circles all question, all doubt, and even criticism of Kiev's politics becomes a betrayal of the West. You're criticizing. Zelenski? “Onuca!” Are you worried about billions of gold and Polish tanks hitting a black hole? “Onuca!” Are you criticizing a criminal ideology that is inactive cultivated in Ukraine, or flagism? “Onuca!” Are you considering the consequences of Ukrainian arrival and competition on the Polish labour market? “Onuca!”
The debate is so gagged today. alternatively of a serious discussion on how to defend the Polish national interest, we have ideological labels: fascist, xenophobia, and late – onuca and Putin's agent. They are applied and the subject is closed. Politics is not a theatre academy where you always gotta clap. Those who don't want to clap, they attach a patch.
The common sense right and part of society see it clearly: Poland cannot be the uncritical sponsor of Kiev. We cannot aid Ukraine at our expense. It is Poland that is the most crucial and it is the most crucial thing we must take care of. We have the right to ask about costs, borders and real benefits for our country. Opposition to the Ukrainian interest over Poland is not rusophile – only a healthy state instinct.
The real concern for Poland is to defend our country and its borders. We must not let anyone drag us into another people's wars that do not straight concern us. Poland should be strong and sovereign, not a puppet in abroad hands. The defence of the homeland begins with reason, not with blind applause by another people's actions.
