We have already introduced both candidates for the office of president of the Czech Republic on our portal. Sunday's debate only confirmed what was known about politicians. What's interesting is that the match between the candidates would barely have happened. Andrej Babiš decided to take part in the debate broadcast by Czech tv at the last moment. He had previously announced that he would not attend, and the writer was only to talk to Petr Pavl. The debater Martin Ōezníček later revealed that he had learned this fact respective decades before the issue began.
During the debate, the question of how a candidate would respond to a possible attack on Poland or the Baltic countries was raised. The Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš replied:
- I'm sorry. Definitely not. Why should we have an open conflict? I want peace, I don't want a fight.
- I'm sorry. In the debate I did not want to answer a hypothetical question about the attack on Poland or the Baltic countries. I am convinced that this will not happen, and I do not want to admit it. It is the work of planet politicians to prevent war. However, if there were indeed an attack, which is understandable, I would follow Article 5. There's no discussion about that - Andrej Babiš.
V duel @CzechTV Isem vůbec nechtěl oddovídat na hypotetickou otázku o zabiegení Polska nebo Popaltí. Jsem přesvědčený, that se to nestane, and nechci to vůbec připouštět. Je zodpovědností světových politiků to válce zabráni.

With his message that he would surely not send our soldiers to Poland or the Baltic countries if they were attacked, Babiš ignored our alliance commitments and importantly threatened our credibility and safety.

The Czechs know very well what the Polish slogan means for our freedom and your freedom. We are not only neighbours, but besides strategical partners and Czechs will always be ready to defend Poles.

- I'm sorry. We are a associate of NATO, which is based on 1 for all, all for one. The government knows that, most of the people who support Alliance membership know that. Mr Babiš should besides know this, due to the fact that this is simply a key warrant for the safety of the Czech Republic - Jana Černochová.
Jsme členem NATO, who founded them on a principe 1 for všechny, všichni for oneho. Ví to vláda, ví to většina společnosti, která to support členství v Alianci. Měl would be vědět and MP Babiš, protože je to klíčová garance bezpečnosti České republic.
