The Parliament received a parliamentary draft of changes concerning home education, importantly limiting its functioning. The bill without public consultation is to be debated on Tuesday's education committee. Confederate politicians are opposed to the project, who together with representatives of the Association for Education in the household protested the full thought at a press conference in the Sejm.
“The task was notified without any consultation and by surprise. He was already defended by Minister Czarnek, head of the political cabinet of Mr.Brzózka, reasons that are astonishing. Tens of thousands of parents active in home education were dropped by a word – educational mafias," said Krzysztof Bosak.
The bill, which has already received print 2740, assumes:
– return to regionalization at voivodship level
– no anticipation of moving to home education within a year,
– the request for the school to have “local conditions” including all students, including those in home education,
– limit for schools – only 50% of students can be in home education,
– no exams online.
“We believe that this is an invasion of us, of the educational people, and it is incompatible with the Constitution, which guarantees that as parents of our children we can educate.” – said Andrzej Witecki, a typical of the Association for Education in the Family, who together with his wife deals with the education of his children as part of home education.
“The home education environment has existed for over 30 years. We realize that the proposed bill would destruct the environment. We are assured and determined to fight for the rights we deserve. Our children are inactive subject to state law and are obliged to take examinations. The ability to choose a school to which our kid belongs and the way to choose education is our right.” said Marta Witecka.
Confederacy and education voucher.
Mr Bosak recalled 1 of the most crucial demands of his group. The Confederation has for years supported the alleged educational voucher, the main presumption of which is that the money from the ministry allocated to education is assigned to the student. The parents of the kid can usage them for schools, the forms of teaching they want. “If the ministry is afraid that besides much money goes to schools whose students are in home education, it is no easier for the money to go consecutive to the parents. I think parents know best how to educate their children.”
