Turkey's doors are closed to terrorists and those who practise politics under the cover of terrorist organizations," said president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Turkish leader speaks to the nation at rallies and on social media before local elections to be held on March 31. Erdogan accuses the opposition of being linked to me and receiving instructions from “unkind Turkey”.

"Of course, we are ready to talk about everything with everyone, but our doors are closed to both terrorists and those who have policies under the cover of terrorist organizations. He said the country removes the (terrorist) threat after the shared suffering we have experienced.
"Now it is time to free our country from this burden not only in terms of security, but besides in all another dimensions," said the Turkish leader.

Turkish leader continues a series of rallies in cities and provinces of the country in preparation for the local elections to be held on March 31. For Erdogan, these elections are crucial due to the fact that the ruling organization seeks to regain control of the administration in the regions where members of the opposition exercise power, in peculiar in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Erdogan announced earlier that the upcoming local government elections on March 31 would be the last in his political career. Later, Omer Celik, a spokesperson for Turkey's ruling Justice and improvement organization (AK Parti), noted that Erdogan's message of "last election" did not mean that he was leaving politics.

Turkish armed forces regularly conduct air operations against Kurdistan Workers organization (PKK) fighters, which is banned in Turkey. Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier said Ankara expects to "solve the issue of border security" with Iraq in the summer. He said that the Turkish side besides seeks to make a safety corridor of 30-40 kilometres in Syria.

The armed conflict with the Kurdistan Workers organization began in Turkey in 1984 and was resumed in 2015. In northern Iraq, there are PKK bases against which Turkish armed forces conduct air and ground operations. The presence of Turkish troops in the Zlikan camp to the north-east of Mosul became a point of dispute between Baghdad and Ankara, which justifies their deployment by the necessity of fighting PKK.
