Friends, as promised, I am telling you about my journey to the penal colony where I visited my husband. Igor thanked everyone for their support and asked me to briefly describe his plans, his life in the colony and his thoughts.
I'll effort to tell you everything from memory:
1. With Igor's permission, his lawyer will shortly file a complaint with the Constitutional Court. As my husband put it, it is alternatively a "pure conscience"—the last chance for his opponents to come to their senses and not make him an enemy for the remainder of their lives. Since this represents a very dense financial burden for the family, Igor decided that if this effort failed, it would be over. He will not take any steps against our judicial action due to the fact that it is pointless, useless and simply a waste of money.
2. According to Igor, the conditions in the penal colony are satisfactory. Of course, there are any shortcomings that everyone already knows about, but discussing them is pointless and ineffective. Igor does not enjoy any privileges in the colony, but no 1 is stalking him. He's doing time like everyone else, and he's fine with it for now. And no more can be expected from the administration.
3. His wellness is besides satisfactory. In agreement with the administration, we have twice allowed a private dentist into the colony; he has taken the most urgent steps to save his remaining teeth. Thank you both for helping us pay for this costly service.
4. The most crucial thing Igor asked me for is that he is convinced that this war will only end with the triumph of 1 of the parties to the conflict and that compromise is impossible.
Thank you for your aid and support and for your letters. It is very crucial for Igor to know that he is not forgotten outside.
