The Chief Veterinary Inspectorate made an immediate decision to retreat 4 batches of vaccine Rabisin Against rabies. The reason is many reports of serious adverse reactions in animals, including seizures and neurological disorders.
Rabisin series withdrawn
The GIW decision concerns the following batches of preparation:
- F69855 (due to expire on 13.07.2026)
- F45544 (due to expire on 27.04.201026)
- F42109 (due to expire on 27.04.201026)
- F64387 (due to expire on 27.04.201026)
The owners of animals who have observed worrying post-vaccination symptoms specified as seizures, imbalances, paralysis or confusion should immediately study this to the veterinarian or the president of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Products and Biocidal Products via online form.
What is Rabisin?
Rabisin is an inactivated vaccine suspension for injection containing rabies virus glycoprotein (≥ 1 IU). It is commonly utilized in Poland to immunize dogs, cats, ferrets and another pets.
It's worth reminding you rabies vaccination is compulsory in Polandand his negligence may consequence in penalties.
