The Inditex Group explained the removal from the homepage of Zara's website and clothing brand app of advertising a fresh collection that sparked criticism on social networks from pro-Palestinian activists – Reuters reports.

The fresh collection of Atelier sparked controversy, with 1 photograph depicting a model with a mannequin wrapped in white, the another representing the bust lying on the floor, and the 3rd representing the mannequin without arms. Critics have stated that images match images of bodies in white shrouds in the Gaza Strip," stressed the agency.
"Zara removed an advertising run depicting mannequins with missing limbs and white-wrapped statues from the home page of her website and application on Monday after the run triggered calls from any pro-Palestinian activists to boycott a fashion salesman. Inditex, who owns Zara, said that the change was part of the average content update procedure. He did not comment on the boycott calls, but noted that the collection of Atelier was created in July and the photos were taken in September," the agency said.
According to the agency, during the launch of the collection on December 7, Zara said it was inspired by the men's tailoring of the past centuries. The photographs appear to depict an artist's workshop with ladders, packaging materials, wooden crates and assistants in suits.
