Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 17.02.2026):
- The Ukrainian side revealed that during the last powerful rocket attack, Russia destroyed 1 of Ukraine's key production lines of FP-5 Flamingo maneuvering missiles. The mill was to be demolished and the equipment was completely destroyed. Ukrainian military experts explain that the effects of this attack represent a serious challenge for the Ukrainian arms programme, especially in the context of a limited number of available missiles of this type.
- Ukrainians released more than 500 drones, which one more time attacked Moscow and the Caucasus, including a field in Kapustin Jara.
- According to fresh analyses, Ukraine recovered more than 200 km2 of territory in mid-February, which is the fastest pace since 2023, mainly in the Zaporosian direction. 1 origin was the deterioration of Russian communication and coordination. This is not a strategical breakthrough, but a signal of the local initiative of Ukraine.
- The Russians were approaching Bylickie, north of Myrnograd. Infantry attacks are constantly accompanied by swarms of drones, hunting individual defenders.

- Ukrainian units reported the demolition of the Russian T-72 tank in a precise FPV attack in the Jampol area. A coordinated attack by respective drones has been used, showing the increasing function of inexpensive unmanned systems on the front. At the same time, this shows the decreasing usefulness of dense equipment in fighting.
