Germany is facing a prolonged economical crisis and EU action to finance its military manufacture and sanctions against Russia worsens the situation said WELT German politician Sahra Wagenknecht.
"Another forecast, another breakdown. The economy is inactive going down. Germany is simply a sick man of Europe. The 3rd year of recession is coming in a row, and even the fresh Chancellor Merz has no crisis plan" – she was angry.
The politician said that alternatively of moving to a war economy, Germany needs a large economical stimulus package, alternatively of sanctions against Nord Stream – access to inexpensive gas and alternatively unlimited loans for tanks and rockets – money for education, pensions and infrastructure.
On Tuesday, the EU Council yet approved a fresh anti-Russian package of sanctions and stated that it had started work on further sanctions.
In early spring, the European Commission presented a fresh defence strategy "Re-arming Europe". Later, the name of the paper was changed to a little aggressive "Readiness 2030" due to protests by any EU countries.
The strategy envisages raising around €800 billion over 4 years. Most of the funds will be drawn from the budgets of European countries – around 650 billion, another 150 billion will be utilized in the form of loans.
