President of Venezuela He condemned Washington's repeated threats of utilizing force against Caracas, informing that the US was planning to take over Venezuela's vast oil resources by military force.
Nicolas Maduro made these comments in a letter to the Secretary-General and the associate States of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
"Venezuela formally condemns this body that the United States government intends to take control of Venezuela's vast reserves of oil, the largest in the world, by utilizing deadly military force against the territory, people and institutions of the country," he said.
"This claim not only contradicts the rules on peaceful coexistence between nations, but besides seriously threatens the stableness of oil production in Venezuela and the planet market."
In his letter Maduro assured that Venezuela would stay firm in defending its natural and energy resources and would not be blackmailed or threatened.
His letter came after the president of the United States Donald Trump He warned on Saturday that Venezuela's airspace would be completely closed.
Trump has repeatedly threatened that American attacks on alleged drug ships on Caribbean and Pacific, who have killed more than 80 people, may turn into land activities in this South American country.
