US authorities can first deport migrants to Libya this week, likely to be delivered by military aircraft – Reuters reports, citing unnamed American officials.

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal, citing officials, reported that US president Donald Trump's administration is negotiating with African, Asian, east Europe and the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo on the admission of migrants deported from the United States. It has been noted that Washington talks with Libya, Rwanda, Benin, Eswatini, Moldova and Mongolia, among others. The United States hopes to get their consent, possibly in exchange for financial or political benefits.

The Agency has not reported the number of migrants the US intends to deport to Libya.

The Washington Post had previously reported that US president Donald Trump's administration had called on Ukraine to welcome third-country nationals deported from the United States, but Kiev allegedly had not yet given an authoritative response.

On the day of the inauguration on January 20, Trump, in his first speech as the 47th president of the United States, promised to immediately halt illegal aliens from entering US territory and launch the extradition process of millions of migrants. He besides introduced a nationwide state of emergency due to the situation at the confederate border of the United States.
