US president Donald Trump threatened Apple with duties of at least 25 percent if the company did not halt producing iPhones outside the United States.
"I've been telling Tim Cook for a long time. Apple that I anticipate their iPhones to be sold in the United States to be produced and assembled in the United States alternatively than India or elsewhere. Otherwise Apple will gotta pay the United States a work of at least 25 percent," Trump wrote on the Social Portal Truth.
Previously Apple CEO Tim Cook said most iPhones sent to the US marketplace in April-June will be produced in India. Bloomberg reported that U.S. president Donald Trump had asked Tim Cook to halt building the company's factories in India.
