U.S. president Donald Trump, commenting on the Social Network fact Social's consequence to the imposition of massive import duties, said that "the patient survived and is recovering".
"Operation complete! Patient's alive and recovering. The prognosis is that the patient will be much stronger, bigger, better and more resilient than always before. Let us make America large again!” wrote Trump emotionally.
Wednesday evening Donald Trump announced common duties on imports from another countries. The basic minimum rate will be 10 percent, but for each country the tariff will be calibrated to represent half of what companies importing American goods collect.
At the same time Russia and Belarus are not on the list of countries to which these measures will be applied.
The White home chief called his actions the declaration of economical independency of the United States. In his opinion, the fresh tariffs will aid to usage immense funds to repay public debt.
The Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned another countries against retaliatory measures against US import duties, stressing that this could only provoke an escalation of friction in the field of trade.
