The pandemic expert is scaring again. “This elder may fail”

The number of COVID-19 infections is much higher than from authoritative statistics," says Michał Sutkowski, spokesperson for the College of household Physicians in Poland and 1 of the experts on pandemics. Awakened from the lethargy, the “expert” in his message emphasizes that many doctors and patients do not choose to carry out tests. In his opinion, specified a situation causes understatement of statistics.

Last Friday there were 2,954 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Poland, of which 2 115 are fresh infections, and 839 are cases of reinfection. In addition, there were 8 deaths associated with COVID-19, with 6 dead having co-existing diseases. Dr. Sutkowski stressed that the observed growth is crucial and the number of cases is much higher than the authoritative reports.

"Expert" referred to authoritative data from the Ministry of Health, which late referred to an average of 2-4 1000 infections per day.

– This is not actual – there are many more infections. Unfortunately, any doctors and patients are not tested, so it is not known whether they are infected or not. However, sewage studies in Poznań and Warsaw say that there are quite a few these cases and indeed all those doctors who test – like me – see that there are far more infections than there were – He was thundering.

According to Sutkowski, the increase in cases of illness may be due to negligence of means of protection against infection. He notes that people do not take action to defend themselves from the virus, but to ignore this problem. It indicates that while young people sometimes manage to avoid infection, the hazard is greater for older people, resulting in respective deaths each day.

Dr. Sutkowski emphasises that COVID-19 is inactive a possible threat, and the presence of fresh coronavirus varieties, referred to as Kraken varieties, is inactive introducing fresh threats into the environment. He stresses that although coronavirus is little susceptible to seasonal changes than another viruses, an increase in the number of infections caused by them is besides observed in autumn.

He besides adds that next to coronavirus, cold illness is dominant in the current infection season, while flu cases are comparatively few.

According to Dr. Sutkowski, vaccination is recommended, especially for people aged 60 years and older, healthcare professionals and all who are 12 years of age and endure from concomitant diseases specified as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac failure or cancer. It points out that these groups should definitely consider vaccination due to the possible hazard of serious disease.

According to data published on December 8, 2023, 22,649,443 people were completely vaccinated in Poland, and 15,202,413 booster doses were given. 18,611 post-vaccination adverse reactions have been reported.
