The Warsaw Uprising in 1944 is 1 of the most tragic chapters of our Polish history. Children were sent to die under enemy barrels. At that time 40,000 soldiers went to senseless death and disability – including the most self-sacrificing young Poles. 200,000 of our people died, and the capitals were turned into a pile of rubble and debris. Between August and October 1944, German military and police formations drove out of their homes nearly 550 000 Warsawians and about 100,000 inhabitants of the village of Warsaw. The enemy's losses are little than 1,600 people...
We lost the capital. Our monuments, national treasures and collections have been destroyed. We lost the Royal Castle. In detail, the state of demolition was as follows: 100% bridges; industrial buildings' cubature 90%; historical buildings (including churches) 90%; cultural facilities' cubature 95%; wellness facilities' cubature 90%; education facilities' cubature 70%; housing houses 72.1%.
“How many people in 3 generations listened to the patriotic words of the songs: “Arise Poland, break the shackles. present your triumph or death” As for me, those words offend my deepest feelings, my moral sense. The man who in this case thinks what he sings is simply a criminal. The thought of Poland dying is simply a crime. It may be a work to anyone, to hazard everything that is his individual property, to quit his assets, to quit his life in sacrifice. But Poland's existence must not be risked, its future must not be lost either by an individual, or by organizing any, or even a full generation. due to the fact that Poland is not owned by 1 or another Pole, 1 or another camp, or even 1 generation. It belongs to the full chain of generations, all those that have been and will be. A man who risks the existence of a nation is like a player who sits at a green table with another people's money."
For a fewer good years I was the secretary of the editorial office in “Home Week”. This allowed me to meet prominent and brave soldiers of planet War II. With any I became friends, with a fewer I went into the form of a ‘colle’, with fewer I drank vodka. And I listened to terrible memories. Among them were Titans Gen. Stanisław Skalski, Gen. Antoni Heda (AK), Gen. Stanisław Karolkiewicz (AK), Major.Łukasz Kuźmich (2 AWP), Major Jan Stachow (2 AWP), Colonel Jerzy Podkiewicz (NOW), Colonel Jan Witkowski (AK), Colonel Władysław Wójcik (NSZ), Lieutenant Bolesław Wołoszyn (AL), Tadeusz Radwan (NOW), Antoni Jodkiewicz (1 AWP) and many others. no of them spoke about the times of war, guerrillas, camps, Gestapo and UB executions, and did not want to sing cheerful songs. They utilized to talk about comic things sometimes, but it was just a breaker that didn't twist reality. Similarly, the post-war movie by Leonard Buczkowski "Forbidden Songs". There in respective places are mentioned these happier songs, but it is embedded in the tragedy of the past of Poland.
This performance was invented by any macher from making a nation into a mindless pseudopatriotic mass. This kind of patriotism must rise our endemic opposition. Under the flag of the white-red flag, the emblem, the cross, the portraits of the cursed, the smoke of the church incense, the cries of honor and glory, young people are prepared to go again like rams for slaughter. To die, as in 1831, 1864, or 1944, in the name of beautiful ideals for a lost or even abroad cause.
Our nation doesn't request any more dead bodies. Let lying supporters of insurrectional madness halt babbling about the necessity of moisturizing our land with Polish blood! We gotta halt the lying declarations that we have proven something to the world. Sometimes you gotta die for your country, but more crucial to live wisely for it. And in order not to repeat these unforgivable mistakes again, you request to advance sober patriotism and honest reasoning about politics. This is not even what the Warsaw Uprising Museum does.
Poles do not request any more myths. erstwhile and for all, you gotta halt dancing, dancing, applause, balloons, children dressed as insurgents or faces painted with artificial blood. Let president Andrzej Duda and the beginning president-elect Karol Nawrocki consider whether singing about the dead in the song "Placyk Michla" is surely the kind of patriotism that Poland needs. Do they want to see thousands of fresh crosses on Powązki again? And hear more songs written on this occasion?
No argument is that the last surviving insurgents are taking part in this concert. This is most often, as Krzysztof Mróz noted, old people before 100 needing attention. It is not appropriate to usage them for political or cultural purposes. For respective years, both Styrofoam sites have been utilizing these people in their war. I don't even want to comment. Paraphrased by Captain Wagner of the C.K. Deserters: "There are no words in the dictionary of cultural people that could sufficiently abusively specify the POPiS' conduct".
Recently, individual utilized an argument that during the uprising, any insurgents sang specified songs. So what? First, they did not know the scale of the tragedy. due to the fact that it is hard to imagine deliberate singing on the bodies of 200,000 Poles. Second, they were in a circumstantial situation in which they had to minimize or at least tame death.
Will people with no sense, defending this concert, propose on the anniversary of the uprising in the ghetto a show with rustlers? There was a theatre and a cabaret in the ghetto. Will they organize a review of the brass bands on the anniversary of the creation of the German Auschwitz camp? There was an orchestra in the camp.
