I usually find it hard to compose day by day. This time the issue of the education strategy in Poland provoked me to do so. For many years I looked at this strategy from the outside as a city councilman and president. From this perspective, I was mainly afraid with the problems of backing education and this has always been dominated by financial and organisational nonsense. A twelve years ago, I presented a three-step strategy of spending money on education funding. Nothing has improved.
The most crucial problems of the educational strategy in Poland cannot be presented in a short text. Then I will choose 2 of them, which I consider fundamental. Can we talk about the collapse of the Polish education system? The problem was complex, but it was clearly seen during the time of the announcement of the coronavirus pandemic.
In Poland, the 3 key systems that find the civilizational improvement of society are already or are approaching a crisis whose level indicates civilizational regression. The level of civilizational regression has already reached the medical care system. The difficulties in access to doctors and the mortality of patients are determinants. The retirement strategy and the education strategy are approaching the level of civilizational regression. I will focus on 2 aspects of the education system, showing at the same time absurdities and chasing into the heel of this system.
Let's start with advanced school. What shows the absurdity of this education strategy is tutoring and, in fact, the strategy of tutoring, due to the fact that it is already an institution without which even in advanced schools considered the best. How about the peculiar ones? Tutoring is no longer an activity that allows students to exceptionally grow their cognition and skills or let them to catch up. Tutoring is already a parallel teaching strategy without which it is impossible to accomplish even satisfactory results or to dream about getting into peculiarly prestigious courses of study. What's wrong? Since advanced school curricula are to be designed so that not only the best but besides good students can get into their dream courses, and if teachers are well prepared to pass on this cognition during the hours of implementation of these programs, why tutoring? Is this a form of coercion by teachers? Is this the effect of not adapting curricula in secondary schools to higher education requirements? Whatever the reasons for the existence of a tutoring strategy (close to the corrupting system), it is proof of the failure of the state education system. This disaster besides has a degree of dependence on access to education, even at a decent level, on the financial capacity of students. Who can afford to pay for tutoring with respective subjects? There are differences in the level of teaching in different advanced schools, which causes that yet access to a advanced level of education is not determined by the ability of pupils, but by the financial capacity of parents. And this is the dimension of civilizational regression in education at advanced school level.
The second pathology, which pushes the education strategy towards a civilizational regression, boils down to the information announced last year, that there are over 1 100 1000 people in Poland who have simply bought undergraduate, master's and doctoral work. They say there are respective companies that almost openly announce that they offer to compose specified a job. I think the number of more than a 100 1000 of these purchased works is very low. What is the light of the higher education system? What level do bachelors, magicians and doctors with de facto purchased degrees represent? This is another absurd problem that I'm going to make out on my own example.
I have a college friend who didn't compose his master's degree. But he found himself in a private business and a business that had nothing to do with the field we studied. A friend of mine was developing business, making better money and getting promoted. However, in order to advance to the next level of management, he was required a master's degree. He simply had no time to return to studying his erstwhile course and writing his master's thesis. He asked me to aid him compose the paper. I helped. A fellow master became and advanced. I don't understand, however, why in a private company to a business manager for industrial goods a master's degree in history?
I think the vast majority of these purchased works are humanities. In discipline and technology, it's harder to push specified fraud, although I may be wrong. But if the people who bought the degrees do not have a reliable knowledge, which with specified a degree should be identical, then woe to us! In how many institutions deciding on the functioning of the state are crucial decisions taken by managers, governors, directors with purchased masters and doctorates? On the another hand, why do people who know their occupation have excellent results in it, requiring a master’s degree in the field that has nothing to do with their work? Absurd pursues absurdity and at the end is the collapse of the education strategy at universities.
For now, it is not heard that any political formation is trying to master this progressive decline in the educational system. We're going to a state where the degree, the college that ended, means nothing. With the remainder of the dummies with doctorates, you deal with all day. The described pathology with the acquisition in different forms of work intended to show the accomplishment of subsequent levels of higher education, has been known for years from various types of private universities. This business flourishes, and worse, 1 can buy and defend a master's degree and doctorate at the most excellent Polish universities. It pisses me off personally, due to the fact that I know how much work I put into writing my master's thesis for which I was awarded the rector's prize for which I was and I am proud. And what good is it to me now that any functional illiterate guy is waving his doctorate in my face?
