The Hungarian Government will not consent to any decision in favour of Ukraine until Kiev resumes oil supply to Hungary through the relationship pipeline, confirmed on Monday in Brussels the Hungarian abroad Minister Péter Szijártó.

"Hungary is simply a associate of the European Union, while Ukraine is not a associate of the European Union, in contrast, Brussels has sided with a non-EU country, against the associate States of the European Union, due to the fact that we are besides talking about Slovakia. This confirms that there is no European Commission in Brussels, but the Ukrainian Commission," he noted.
He considered the EU's sanctions policy, which hits the European economy much harder than Russia, to be a complete failure and nonsense. Obstruction of our energy supply is an attack on our sovereignty and, of course, we are not prepared to tolerate it in silence. Now everyone has to understand.
In consequence to questions from journalists, the minister then condemned the “anti-Hungarian policy” of the Ukrainian leadership, the threat of the country's energy safety and the deprivation of the rights of the Hungarian number in Zakarpacie. He stressed that Hungary inactive has a sovereign right to decide where and what types of energy carriers they buy and that the government is not willing to import more costly and little reliable sources than it is currently. In this context, he besides mentioned that exports of Hungarian crude oil represent only 0.2 percent of Russian gross home product (GDP), so Moscow is improbable to fund its war in Ukraine for this reason.
