Ewa Swoboda, a Polish sprinter, after a very good elimination run, unfortunately failed to advance to the Olympic final 100 metres. In the semi-finals she took ninth place, she ran out of just 0.01 seconds to advance. This smallest possible difference decided not to participate in the final.
Fight to the end
Swoboda took part in the first semi-final run and had to wait for the results of 2 consecutive races to find out if she would qualify for the final. She described these moments as highly stressful:
"What happens erstwhile you sit on these hot chairs, erstwhile you inactive have a chance to finish with time, is indescribable, due to the fact that the stress is most likely greater than how you run" – she betrayed Swoboda after all.
Difficult conditions and unexpected results
The Polish sprinter besides mentioned hard conditions that could affect her result:
"I felt like a wall on the end, I don't know if it was the wind spinning or what. All the girls looked at each another and saw why it was so slow, why it was cutting us down. After all, I ran a lot faster yesterday in the eliminations at noon," said Swoboda.
Future plans
Swoboda already thinks about the next Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
"Four or 5 years I will inactive train. I'm not that old. I want to be in the final of the games," she said. Then she will be 31, which gives her a chance to fight again for the Olympic medal.
Disappointment Despite Good Results
Despite good time results, especially in eliminations, Swoboda is not satisfied with its achievements:
“It is hard for me to be happy. I know it's a large job, it's a cool thing. But, well, that's not enough," she admitted honestly.
Rest and regeneration
Before Freedom now the minute before competition in the 4×100 meters relay. However, Polka does not intend to visit Paris at this time:
“No, no, due to the fact that I don’t think it’s a good place for girls to walk in Paris themselves,” she replied.
Family time.
Swoboda plans to spend time in the Olympic village, where he will meet his brother:
“I’m visiting the village due to the fact that I haven’t been to respective places. next day my brother comes to the village, is here, which was a large surprise to me. So next day I will spend my family's day and have fun" explained Swoboda.
Eva Swoboda, despite her disappointment, shows her determination and enthusiasm to proceed fighting for her dreams. Her statements show a professional approach to athletics and awareness of her own capabilities. Our fingers crossed for the success of the Polish sprinter internationally.
