Karol Nawrocki has not yet been sworn in as president of the Republic of Poland, and the Israeli press has already launched an attack on him. “Times of Israel” called the erstwhile president of the IPN “a Holocaust revisionist” and the diary “Haarec” announces the arrival of an alliance of “the utmost right” and Belvedere, meaning “the revival of nationalism” in Poland.
"Karol Nawrocki was elected president of Poland partially thanks to the voices of the far right, anti-Semitic electorate", wrote Israeli “Haarec”. He added that supported by U.S. president Donald Trump Nawrocki seeks to revive the conservative and nationalist course of the erstwhile government.
"Nawrocki was partially elected with the voices of the far right, including the anti-Semites, who in the first circular supported his "high-end rival", and in the second they transferred the votes to a candidate supported by the PiS," wrote the writer "Haarec" Ofer Aderet, without mentioning the name of Grzegorz Braun.
In the opinion of the Israelis, in order to satisfy the “extremely right” electorate, Nawrocki "promote to fight against Polish historians who analyse cases of Poles' participation in the Holocaust and end the tradition of lighting Khanuk candles with judaic representatives".
The figures specified as Prof. Jan Grabowski and Prof. Barbara Engelking, who are known in the planet for questioning the scale of aid for Jews in occupied Poland and convincing about Poles' engagement in German crimes in the judaic people. Barbara Engelking headed the council of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in April. This decision was powerfully opposed during Nawrocka's election campaign.
Israeli publicist almost accused erstwhile IPN manager of anti-Semitism. He wrote that Nawrocki's "very conservative social views" endanger to return Poland to the times of erstwhile governments, which supported "popular, nationalist, right-right-conservative reforms detrimental to the regulation of law, democracy, freedom of the press, women, LGBTQ people and, to any extent, Jews".
