District Attorney’s Office in Lubaczów directed to court an indictment against a 51-year-old clerk from the Podkarpackie Provincial Office — not for insignificant malpractice, but for gross, scandalous violation of the law erstwhile broadcasting PESEL numbers to foreigners. According to the indictment, the authoritative opened access to hundreds of foreigners to the full state strategy without any verification of identity or legality of residence. specified actions straight undermine public interest and national security. PESEL broadcast without control creates a field for fraud, fraud, money laundering or even criminal activity – this number becomes the basis for entering the full legal and financial strategy of Poland.
What was to be a courtesy to foreigners became a gateway to hundreds of people without any administrative control. specified bureaucracy should not be treated as an isolated case — a symptom of a deeper problem in the strategy of oversight and accountability of officials.
