From 1 October 2026, curates directed to the sanatorium by the NFZ will pay for meals and accommodation from 10.60 to 32.60 PLN per day. In the 21-day turnus, the cost will be PLN 222,60 to PLN 684,60, which is up to PLN 237,30 little than in the summer. This is simply a seasonal discount, not a fresh rise or an extra charge.
As of 1 October there is simply a cheaper season
The confusion around fees in sanatoriums requires a simple explanation. There was no fresh taxation or extraordinary surcharge. There are 2 settlement seasons in spa sanatoriums: cheaper from 1 October to 30 April and more costly from 1 May to 30 September. Since the beginning of October, the patient has been paying little for each day of board and accommodation.
Rates are not set freely by the directorate of the centre. These are defined by the Minister of Health, and National wellness Fund publishes the existing price list. The difference between seasons depends on the standard of peace. The individual choosing a single area in the studio will benefit most. At 21 days she will stay in her wallet PLN 237.30 more than during summertime turnus.

The amounts given include a partial payment of the patient for accommodation and board. The fee is the product of the number of days of stay and the applicable regular rate. This rule is enshrined in Regulation governing spa services. With 28-day turnus, you just gotta multiply the regular rate by 28. The cost will then scope from 296.80 to 912.80 zł.
Stay at the turn of September and October
If the turnus covers days from both seasons, the sanatorium should not charge a single rate for the full stay. Days to 30 September are settled according to the summertime price list and days from 1 October according to the cheaper autumn-winter price list. You should check your bill, especially erstwhile your stay starts at the end of September.
The choice of the standard of peace belongs to the recipient, but depends on the actual possibilities of the centre. Thus, directing from the NFZ does not warrant the availability of a single room. A area in the studio, on the another hand, means 1 of at least 2 rooms with a shared bathroom and hall.
What the NFZ won't pay for
Treatment financed by the NFZ does not mean stay without any expenses. The fund does not cover the passage to and from the spa, a partial fee for meals and accommodation, a stay of a carer or a local spa fee. The patient besides pays for treatments unrelated to the disease, which was the basis of the referral. For outpatient treatment, the treatments themselves are free of charge, but accommodation and meals request to be organised on their own.
Children and young people are released from sanatorium fees until the age of 18 and, in the event of further education until the age of 26. The exemption besides covers children with a crucial degree of disability without age restrictions and workers in the production of asbestos products as indicated in the legislation. The discount is real, but the bill does not end in peace
For a pensioner or household counting each gold, the difference in excess of PLN 200 matters. However, it is forbidden to call a simple change of period a fresh improvement or to build false horror around it. The patient needs a clear bill: how much he will pay for the room, which costs extra and from what date the lower rate applies. The state wellness strategy is maintained from the money of Poles. Clear information on subsidies is so the work of the institution, not of kindness.
