SME spokesperson: Ministry ignores business rights

Small ZUS Plus is simply a solution that entrepreneurs can use, whose income last year did not exceed PLN 120 thousand. Entities fulfilling these conditions may benefit from a relief for 36 months within 6 years. However, you gotta wait a while before the next application.

According to SME Ombudsman Adam Abramowicz, on 17 January he asked Prime Minister Donald Tusk to intervene urgently on the misinterpreting of the tiny Social safety Plus rules by ZUS. The case concerns tens of thousands of tiny entrepreneurs, who benefited from this premium preference between 2019 and 2021 and after 2 years of break they have the right to re-use this preference, which the bet refuses them.

– The reaction of the Prime Minister's Chancellery was immediate. On the following day, she submitted a letter to the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy with a advice to deal with the substance without delay. This is simply a good example of what the dialog between government and entrepreneurs should look like. Unfortunately, the good news ends there. Although the case is highly urgent (the entrepreneurs have time to apply to the tiny Social safety Office only until 31 January), The Ministry's got water in its mouth. My multiple monites to give the case a run are notoriously ignored. Time is running, tens of thousands of entrepreneurs are in suspension, and officials and ministers who have been urged by me are ignoring their responsibilities," says Adamowicz.

– In the electoral run we heard from all sides of the political scene of ensuring the importance of the rights of Polish entrepreneurs, especially those in the SME sector. After the election, part of the fresh power camp forgets its declarations. As a guardian of the rights of Polish tiny and medium-sized business, I will consistently request the authorities of the state to respect these rights. According to my information, ZUS officials are trying to find a satisfactory solution for entrepreneurs. But they are waiting for a green light from the Ministry. There is inactive time to resolve the case comprehensively and avoid moving the dispute to court! – we hear from the SME Ombudsman.
