I watched on TVP at 9:30 another episode of the program "Reset". The audience aims to “dismask” pro-Russian actions of erstwhile governments, with emphasis on the times of the PO. You gotta admit that PiS propaganda makes things amazing. Watching these kind of shows, I'm starting to feel a gentle fondness for PO and Tusk. The programme indicated that the PO environment was devoid of morbid rusophobia and wanted normal, that is, profitable and peaceful relations with its neighbours. In my opinion, however, it was different.
The normalization of relations between Poland and Russia, culminating in the expected visit of president Vladimir Putin to Gdańsk on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second planet War, was directed outside Poland. The Western countries needed time and wanted to convince the Russian Federation authorities that they could be equal partners. That bluff truly worked.
An crucial function in this performance was played by his excellent contacts in the United States and large Britain, and his influential wife Radosław Sikorski. tv Poland is right, of course, to emphasise Radosław Sikorski's large commitment to convincing Russia to cooperate with Western countries. He wrongly attributes this commitment to Sikorski, Tusk and the widely understood PO-Wski political camp. He besides mistakenly believes that the reset was inspired by Berlin or Paris.
The contractors, in my opinion, were Washington or London, or both.
The West tried to trick Moscow. 1 cannot blame this – global policy present is, among another things, the art of fraud. erstwhile you sit with these partners to the table, you request to know about marked cards. 1 tool for softening Russia was Poland. She was perfect for that. She has had real problems with Russia in the past and is historically preserved by certain anti-Russian forces. Thus it was convincing for the East – “even specified Poland wants trade and cooperation”. Italy, Czech Republic or Bulgaria did not have specified a card. It was 1 of the fewer moments where Poland was taken seriously in the Kremlin.
It is worth remembering the letter published in “Gazeta Wyborcza” by president Putin addressed to Poles. This was an exceptional situation, due to the fact that usually Poland is unnoticed in Moscow's powerful policy. Most politicians in Poland most likely had no thought that they only participated in the shadow theatre, which has the other goals to the declared ones. The West achieved a large part of the targets.
This is simply a bad situation for Poland. due to the fact that tools have a problem with them, that utilized tools are exchanged for newer and better. Poland, contrary to the noisy ruling declarations, is not a sovereign entity today, but a tool dependent on abroad centres.
It is hard to measure what is worse in the future for Poland – further demoralized governments of the PiS Hunwabins or the PO-PO power of the perfect liberals centered around the desire of dintojra over Kaczyński. Unfortunately for the moment, specified a hopeless choice remains. Neither the PiS nor the PO gives any hope of normalising relations with east neighbours and becoming a peacemaker in the region. Without peace, in turn there is no chance of improving the position and safety of our nation.
