The situation on the Russian-Ukrainian war front has long ceased to be described by the media as a conflict in which Moscow will endure a severe defeat. There is an open talk about the crisis in the armed forces of Ukraine, the Russian war conquests, and especially the deficiency of replenishments in the army. That is why the authorities in Kiev introduce much stricter rules on enlistment, including lowering the age of possible recruit. However, this is not the most crucial presumption signed last Tuesday by president Zelenski, the fresh mobilization bill. Above all, Ukraine wants to bring from abroad those men who are fleeing service in the army. To this end, consular posts are now to refuse to service them, but to assist in their return to the country. This is simply a one-way ticket, due to the fact that men of draft age from Ukraine are presently incapable to leave.
The fresh regulations caused a violent reaction of Ukrainians abroad. In fact, there has been a siege to consulates, which, even though the fresh regulations are to enter into force only in May, have already ceased to issue any documents, including passports, explaining this "system failure". At the same time, representatives of the government in Poland, but besides Lithuania, are beginning to speculate about the anticipation of "supply" Ukraine's citizens here.
Parallel to the mobilization actions undertaken by Kiev, or as the Ukrainians themselves say – mogilation, the United States has allocated fresh funds blocked by Republicans to support Ukraine. However, it is not known what they will be intended for, due to the fact that American military technology is quietly withdrawn from the front. most likely due to the fact that the Russians are besides easy to handle. This is to be the origin of, among others, the resignation of the usage of Abrams tanks, which respective Ukrainians have already lost, and now their wrecks are to be presented as trophies in Moscow.
Will Poland participate actively in Ukrainian mobilization? And how will the Ukrainians in Poland respond to our services? About this in the next episode of the series “Where Are We Going?” where Kamila Klimczak will be a MP at the Polish Parliament, Andrzej Zapalowski.
