Since this morning, the media and politicians have been surviving on 1 issue and it is the political asylum granted by Hungary to Zbigniew Ziobrze and his wife Patrycja Kotecka-Ziobro. The media reported that this was going to happen a fewer days ago, but at the time there were 2 Polish citizens and while any commentators of the Polish political scene indicated that 1 of the 2 citizens was Former Minister of JusticeThis asylum for the minister's wife is rather a surprise. What is political asylum? It is nothing but the granting of legal protection to a abroad national in the territory of the country which asylum grants.
In practice, this means that as long as Zbigniew Ziobro stays in Hungary, the Polish state has no chance to bring him to the Polish court, the same applies to his wife. Legally, everything is clear and no "authority" from Prof. Andrzej Zoll to Prof. Ewa Łętowska will change this state of affairs. It is not possible to print the order of the Hungarian court, as is unlawful in relation to the judgments of the Constitutional Court. The position of the Hungarian justice and the ruling itself cannot be disputed due to the wrongly planted KRS. The possible appeal procedures are very complicated and recognised by the Hungarian administrative court and will not be changed in the decision. More courageously, the “slayers” of Zbigniew Ziobry propose that the TEU could challenge Hungarian asylum, as the EC has initiated a procedure against Hungary for breaking fundamental rights, but this is only an unproductive tension of muscles.
Politically, this case doesn't service anyone, and you can actually talk about wedges. In social opinion studies, the results are clear, only 25% of respondents support Zbigniew Ziobra's escape to Hungary. The moods in the PiS organization are besides far from enthralled, of course politicians associated with Ziobra print the messages of the day about the "political killing", which would happen due to the cancer of the erstwhile minister, but Ryszard Terlecki said directly: "It is evidently drowning us". Equally sceptical is the faction of the “chancers” or supporters Mateusz Morawiecki“ I will surely not search asylum anywhere. Let them justice me here as they please, even if there is simply a threat of arrest.” In this position there is simply a clear allusion to the behaviour of Zbigniew Ziobry and the celebrated "softened" whom Ziobro gave Morawiecki, but life showed precisely the opposite.
Without a doubt, the escape of Zbigniew Ziobry should be considered an image disaster, both of Ziobry himself and of the full PiS party, due to the fact that the Roman case is even worse. This does not mean, however, that the rulers can open champagne, on the contrary, to them it is besides an image failure. The accounts of the predecessors are a flagship point in a political task called "coalition on 13 December". The most hardened electorate of the civilian Coalition day after day demands specifics, not further declarations, even if they are supported by charges. Donald Tusk and Waldemar Żurek have a very serious problem with the fact that Zbigniew Ziobro simply played them and did not substance what method he used. The fact remains a fact, Ziobro will merge with tv Republik and mocked the government's snot.
The eternal political enemies bleed each another out, apart from this holy war, they look at everything “normal” and there is no 1 voice here either. The vast majority are very critical of Zbigniew Ziobry's attitude, but he besides sees that the charges against him, at least in part, are completely absurd. In addition, Waldemar Żurek's statements relating to the full case and the justice who did not take into account the ENA application and the elimination of the draws of judges, it was badly received by ‘normals’. In the light of the facts and circumstances cited, the consequence of this unclean game on both sides is simply a tie, although a better word is simply a clinch.
