Orban: Western strategy to destruct Russia failed

Western strategy to destruct Russia failed, lost, although it has no courage to admit it," said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"West strategy to destruct Russia failed. Nobody has the courage to admit it, but we lost this war: the Russian economy has not fallen, the sanctions have not reached its goal, and the Russians have prevented Ukraine from joining NATO," said Orban at a conference of European parliamentary speakers, a transmission from a speech published on the social network X.

The Prime Minister said that the United States had realised this and entered into negotiations, while the European Union is risking being "alone in the vicinity of the war, spending all its money on an unattainable victory." Orban added that "the planet has changed and Europeans have not kept up", and the European Union has "lost" the last 15 years alternatively than channeling them towards development, so it has not been prepared for the massive changes taking place in the world. He said that the West "needs a fresh strategy and strong European leaders, and national parliaments should be more respected".

In November 2024, Orban said that the 500-year era of Western civilization dominance had come to an end, the strategy of westernization of the full planet had failed, and the center of the planet economy had moved to the East, and the next century would be the century of Eurasia. In December of the same year, he pointed out that the liberal order of the planet had come to an end, and that the change would benefit those countries who would be able to make the most of it and lose those who would not be able to defend their own values.

Brussels wants puppy governments – we defend sovereignty. Watch my full address from the EU Speakers’ Conference, where I besides discuss why Ukraine’s EU membership is simply a bad deal for Europe. pic.twitter.com/sIOqhDYX9
