Half vacation. Despite the favourable weather and visible crowds on the streets of popular cities, beaches and trails, the accommodation manufacture in Poland faces problems. In most tourist towns, especially in the mediate of the week, it is easy to find signs with “free rooms”.
Most popular localities
Data Nocowanie.pl shows that by the sea the owners of objects in Kołobrzeg, Władysławów, Karwi, Jastarni and Krynica Morska have the least reason to complain. It was these towns that attracted the most tourists in July.

Agnieszka Rzeszutek, expert at Nightingale.pl, emphasizes that in the second half of July in Kołobrzeg on weekends the location reached 93%, and in Jastarnia was similar. About 80% of the seats were occupied in Władysławów and Karwi. However, the situation was different in the mediate of the week, even in the most besieged towns.
Short weekend trips
Another year in a row Poles are betting on short weekend trips. There are quite a few tourists in the week, but on weekends it is simply a real “armageddon”. On Saturdays and Sundays, beaches and mountain trails are populated not only by guests of guesthouses or hotels, but besides by residents of the region and day-old tourists. The average booking dimension this year is only 3.3 days, which is shorter than last year (3.8 days). Accommodation owners are not satisfied with this trend, preferring longer stays of tourists.

Prices for accommodation are very akin to last year. In Kołobrzeg and Krynica Morska an average of PLN 114 per individual is paid for the hotel's night, and in Władysławów PLN 82, which is even a fewer percent little than last year.
Hopes for a Long Weekend in August
Accommodation owners have advanced hopes for a long weekend in August. August 15 is simply a vacation that gives a day off from work. Just take Friday off August 16 to have 4 days off. According to Nightingale.pl, the extended weekend of August is the most desirable 1 to spend in the mountains. The most frequently chosen towns are Zakopane, Kudowa-Zdrój and Karpacz. In Zakopane you will gotta pay about PLN 89 per night, in Karpacz PLN 99, and in Kudów-Zdrój just over PLN 100. The following places are Władysławowo, Kołobrzeg and Karwia, where average prices are akin to those of the full season.
Promotion and availability of places
"We are talking about average prices, and everything depends on the kind of facility, standard and pricing policy adopted by the owner. It is worth comparing many offers before leaving, even if we want to make a fast decision at the last minute before the hot weekend, for example, due to the fact that in order to increase the movement of many of our partners prepare attractive sales and promotions" - says Rzeszutek.
The expert emphasizes that for the second half of August more than half of the most popular localities are available, but this changes before each next weekend. For years, home trips, especially those short for the weekend, have been booked at the last minute. Therefore, if individual plans to go to Jastarnia next Saturday, they must number on only 5% of available beds. More, about 20% of vacancies, gotta offer Kołobrzeg, Karpacz or Władysławowo.

The accommodation manufacture in Poland faces challenges, despite favourable tourist conditions. Poles are increasingly choosing short weekend trips, which affects the average dimension of booking. Although accommodation prices are stable, accommodation owners hope to improve the situation in August, especially during a long weekend.
