Wp.pl portal revealed, that the government of Tusk Narodowa and the Academic Computer Network (NASK), which was theoretically to combat manipulation on the Internet, was behind the publication of political advertisements promoting Rafał Trzaskowski. At the same time, her materials attacked Karol Nawrocki and Sławomir Mentzen. She collaborated in this work with an highly left-wing, foreign-funded and George Soros-related organization called Action Democracy.
NASK participated in the Trzaskowski campaign. According to information disclosed by wp.pl, advertisements were published by Facebook profiles “You Know How It Is” and “The Table of Adults” whose admin is unknown. 400,000 zlotys of unknown origin were spent on them. This is an amount exceeding the expenditure on Facebook advertising of all authoritative election committees. In comparison, between 15 February and 16 March 2025, Trzaskowski's staff spent over PLN 235 1000 on Facebook advertising, Nawrock's staff over PLN 83 thousand, and Mentzen's staff PLN 22.5 thousand.
“We have identified 3 people in advertising. They confirmed that they were encouraged to participate in them by people from the Action Democracy Foundation" - We read.
The portal underlines that the Board of Action Democracy acknowledged that the Foundation's worker helped a abroad partner of the organization find those willing to participate in the recordings. The answer said: “We have done the courtesy of a company with which we are constantly cooperating and that is where our function ended”.
May 14, 2025 The NASK Disinformation Analysis Centre reported the recognition of political ads that could have been financed from abroad. The network alarmed that the materials could have been an effort at external interference in the Polish electoral campaign.
Interestingly, NASK claims that the victim of this "operation" is... Rafał Trzaskowski, whose advertisements supported. ‘The analysis indicates possible provocation. It may have been intended to harm a candidate allegedly supported by this kind of advertising and destabilise the situation before the presidential election," said NASK in its Communication.
According to the findings of Patrick Nightingale and Simon Jadczak from Virtual Poland, behind the advertisements is the Foundation Action Democracy and the Austrian company Estratos Digital GmbH. The president of the Action Democracy is highly left-wing activist Jakub Kocjan, who served as an assistant MP of KO Iwona Karolewska until March 2025. In the past, he has proudly photographed himself with Trzaskowski and people from his surroundings.
"Jakub Kotian is not a NASK associate and does not co-create Electoral Parasol in any way" – Jacek Dziura, manager of the media and communication department of NASK, delivered the PAP immediately. He added that Kocjan came to an open gathering on disinformation, which was organized by NASK as part of the Electoral Parasol. The meetings are intended for NGOs, influencers and journalists, and so far 11 of them have been held – indicated Hole.
Kocian, who took the position of president on 1 March 2025, is simply a PhD student at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a winner of the 2020 Tadeusz Mazowiecki Prize of president of Warsaw. Rafał Trzaskowski distinguished him "for pro-democracy and anti-fascist actions".
All points to the fact that institutions under the government of Tusk are straight active in the election run of Rafał Trzaskowski. This is not all – the same institution, or NASK, has repeatedly attacked together with a akin portal Demagog, independent media, calling them "pro-Russian", of course without any evidence. The attacks fell, among others, on our editorial office. This is what “Smiling Poland” looks like. A.D. 2025.
