American entrepreneur and head of the US Government's Department of Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk decided to leave politics for safety reasons as well as difficulties in achieving results and negative responses to his actions “ The Washington Post writes.
“Musk is profoundly afraid about his individual safety and his family. He did not anticipate specified a level of negative reaction against him personally or against his companies," the article says.
According to sources of publications close to the entrepreneur, Musk was disappointed in politics due to the difficulty in achieving results. Now he intends to devote more attention to the management of Tesla and SpaceX.
Elon Musk previously announced his decision to reduce financial spending on politics, as he presently sees no reason for political spending.
On Tuesday, Politico, citing an analysis of the publication, wrote that Musk had disappeared from public opinion, his name is little frequently mentioned in publications by Donald Trump and another politicians than at the beginning of the U.S. President's term. The publication besides notes that Trump no longer uses the name Musk in his fundraising campaigns. So in February, an American entrepreneur was exchanged almost regular in e-mails about fundraising. However, in early March the mention of Musk "suddenly ceased".
In early February, a joint survey conducted by Economist and YouGov showed that about half of Americans want Musk to have no influence on Trump's administration. In addition, Democratic congressman and associate of the Texas home of Representatives Greg Kasar had previously called for Musk's dismissal from his position in the Trump administration.
