"My Apprentice of the Blade"... – the tragic fall of sanctimonious propaganda

On September 17, 1939, Chief Chief, Edward Blades-Rydz and another representatives of the sanctioning power of the Second Republic of Poland, left Poland to enter Romania. In another words, they fled the country, leaving their countrymen to the Nazi and Bolshevik occupier. It is actual that Rydz returned to Poland in 1940, wanting to fight in a conspiracy, but he died shortly after. As to the real circumstances of his death, various hypotheses are circulating – it is officially assumed that he had contracted pneumonia in December 1940, while unofficially – that he was imprisoned by the underground for treason and that he died a fewer months later in isolation.

Śmigły-Rydz belonged to 1 of the largest pets of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, he was hoarded by sanctimonious media, pumped by legion legend to be the worthy successor of the Marshal and guarantor of the Polish military force, which no 1 can threaten.

Sanctification propaganda did not let the Chief Leader to say the incorrect word, even the magazines for children and youth were filled with idolatrous publicity from Stalin’s school.

We present a example of this idolatry below. The article you can read comes from the weekly weekly “Płomyk” (Warsaw, November 18, 1937, number 11, Volume I, year 22). Writing about analogies to modern times is most likely unnecessary. They come naturally. Let us remember – propaganda will never overcome facts, with reality. This 1 will exposure all false word, all pompous and pompous phrase of "groom"...

“Such pride is beautiful and wise”

"It is essential for all Polish child, learning the first words of the father, to learn to love the thought of soldierry at the same time". "Let all Polish parent remember this, reasoning about the happiness and honor of her son," said Marshal Śmigły-Rydz on 6 August 1935 in Sowińcu.

And we all know that no 1 has always loved a soldier's thought more than he has. And due to the fact that he loved her so much, so hot, that's why he's now the first soldier in Poland to win Marshal Pilsudski.

But with this love of military service, it's not that simple and easy. You don't gotta think you just gotta like the uniform and the military. Oh, no – war craft is smart, hard and hard work. It was essential to learn it diligently and patiently, in order to gain the sweetest of hearts the name from the mouth of Marshal Pilsudski, "my disciple."

"My Apprentice of the Blade," said the Leader with satisfaction erstwhile he enjoyed the wise war effort of a young officer at the time. – “My pupil of the Blade” – he spoke confidently erstwhile he entrusted him with crucial positions and erstwhile he ordered the aftermath of himself in order to care for the full and power of Poland.

Early on, how early he began preparing to service the Marshal’s motherland “Smigling Student”. There, in Brzeżanki, erstwhile he went to junior advanced school, he thought about the happiness of Poland's liberation. Then, after graduation, he started his painting wells at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, at the same time he started another studies – military. The “Smigling Student” listened to Józef Piłsudski's lectures on war art. erstwhile it came to pass the exam on these messages, it was passed by the “student” of the Blade not just any.

He was valued by the chief loving soldiers, but demanding. Marshal Piłsudski knew that you could trust on this young officer of the Blade. Therefore, erstwhile Edward Smigły-Rydz had to appear in the Austrian Army at the time of the war, he applied for his release from this service and transfer to the Legions.

Oh, how cheerfully the “Smigler student” dropped his alien uniform to put on his beloved, locust legionnaire uniform. Now the work has begun for good. Not only the heroism of bloody battles, but besides the wise, prudent organization, mastery and awareness in the battlefield. He went relentlessly “Smiglers” to the enemy under Łochówk, Marciukowice, Anielin, Krzywołotki and Laski, over Stochod and under Vilnius. But always careful and careful, always in control. He was so comforted by his calmness that the soldiers said to each other, “There are no wounded or killed at the Blade.” And even erstwhile it wasn't very good, due to the fact that it's different in war, they'd feel a small bit better erstwhile they knew that this young officer, the Blade, was walking in any line with soldiers, brotherly.

Captain Horaszkiewicz, who was at the time an officer of the Ordinance, wrote in his memoirs: “Always strangely calm, smiling in the top fire, was the Smigły constantly over the position. How it worked on the subordinates, I have frequently experienced myself.

... I understood and internally felt the iron will of the Blade, controlling the full environment, over us and over the Russians.”

It is so no wonder that he had specified assurance in the “smigular student” Marshal Pilsudski. No wonder erstwhile he had to leave the Brigade for a while in 1915, he gave the order:

"...in the tried hands of Lt. Colonel Blade-Rit, I surrender command over you, knowing that you will environment him with the same trust and love with which you have treated me."

And this tried and trusted lieutenant colonel was only 29 years old. A year later, erstwhile he left the Legions, he besides handed over to him in a warm letter the commandant Piłsudski taking care of the soldier brother. He trusted him. He trusted him, and erstwhile before his death he ordered him to watch over the Free and Independent Homeland. He knew that the “Smigler student” would not fail. That he can, as always in his serenity, calmly, wisely and predictably take care of Poland. That he would teach those who were already born in Free Homeland, love her and defend her, and fight for her as He himself fought for Independence. That he would teach them this joy of doing their work to her. A soldier's duty, from which our pride is born.

And, as the Blade-Rydz Marshal said, “this pride is beautiful and wise.”
