Letter from Friends of Slovakia

During the Ethnographic Festival of Slavic Prague 2018, held from 7 to 9 June 2018, Slavic association SLAVICA applied for the establishment of Slavic Genocide Day on 22 June. This proposal was unanimously adopted at a joint plenary gathering of 3 global Slavic organisations and since 2018 the day of 22 June is celebrated in individual Slavic countries as the Day of Frogs and Memory of Slavic Genocide.

On Saturday 5 April 2025, an Extraordinary Slavic Convention was held in Slavic Court of SLAVICA in the skies of Pribinov's manor home in Aleksinice, where delegates from respective Slavic countries elected a fresh bureau of the Universal Slavic Committee, members of the inspection committee of the organization, approved changes in the statutes of the Universal Slavic Committee, adopted a number of appeals and resolutions and welcomed fresh members of this global Slavic association.
The typical of the Slavic Association SLAVICA proposed to establish a day 9 They have a day to remember the glory of war Slav on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of triumph over Nazism and fascism:

This proposal was put to the vote and accepted by the vast majority of participants of the Extraordinary Slavic Convention. The symbol of this memorable day will be Viteź (warrior) fighting the dragon, symbolizing the enemies of the Slavs.
