Marcin Drewicz: A 6-year-old technicum, with a pea against the wall (part 2 of the Polish education improvement plan).

In the erstwhile article (available Here.) we presented the Framework Teaching Plan for the Six Year advanced School, which we rightly called the Secondary School. Now it is time for the presentation of the Plan for the Six-Year School of method average and another Specialists, including Vocational advanced School (Plassical, Musical, another Artistic, Nursery, Military, or Cadet Corps, etc.).

Below we publish, as in the erstwhile case, 1 of the options of specified a Plan, here marked with the letter D. Variants will be a lot, as there are many professions and specializations, in which they prepare these various mediate Schools without the word "General Education" in their name.

In the name, yes. But we want students of technicians and others likewise organized School give TIME to receive both professional and general education, so besides this humanist (sic!) – in 1 place! This is why our “predence for lessons” comes from, as shown in the table below, sometimes exceeding, unfortunately, that number of 33 mandatory lessons per week.

A contractor tech knows how to do something, and he can do it. The alleged common humanist-intelligent knows for what intent (further) it is done. We want a postgraduate of this School to have these 2 cognition combined with skills.

As we can see, among the subjects of those in the Six Year advanced School (hereinafter: GOS), the difference in the weekly hours of lessons can be seen only in mention to the subject of the Polish Language – a week in six years 19 hours in Technician compared to 26 hours in GOS (the hourly dimensions should be compared to those given in the next MEN Framework Plans in the past decades – how much was it already! – including those presently in force).

Thus students of Technicians and another advanced Schools, at least as part of school education, will read little “from Polish” reading than students of GOS. But not everywhere it has to be. For example, in the Artistic advanced Schools, the six-year dimension of the lesson hours of the subject The Polish language should be the same as in GOS, however, at the expense of taking hours distant from another subjects. And which one, we're not going to decide here.

Speaking of school readings, let's go back to the subject Roman Catholic religion in this Tomism. Exactly. The program basis for this subject in 2018 does not indicate that reading is provided for it; possibly outside the Bible. The spiritual and moral formation of the Catholic begins erstwhile he is born (and lasts throughout his life). 13-year-olds would come to the Higher Primary School, so people who are at this formation rather advanced (sic!) stage.

We think that after a week and a half for religion at the Six Years mediate School, it would only be justified to survey selected readings in these lessons, especially the writings of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, the rulings of the General Councils, the papal encyclicals, and since "including Tomism", then besides simple and accessible texts in this field.

Such catechistic-dydactic practice would coincide with preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which would be given to students – in this school strategy – most likely in the 4th grade, possibly already in the 3rd class. After Receiving, too, spiritual lessons would be drawn.

As far as mathematics is concerned, we do not have the conviction that this subject is taught as much as 3 hours a week in each without exception of the Six Years mediate School, or in each class in specified a school, and through all 5 years of learning, erstwhile further subjects of lessons are introduced. The postulate of dividing the teaching of Mathematics after most likely the first 3 years of common learning into ‘basic’ and ‘extended’ courses remains to be considered.

We can see that the second abroad Language in the Framework Teaching Plan for Technicians does not fit us – it is 5 lessons a week! However, whether it's the same School or another local educational institution (see besides our version of Article 37 of the Educational Law on Home Teaching), it should besides offer abroad Languages courses to curious people, in the afternoon-pre-event mode. This has been happening in many places for a long time. We encourage that grades should besides be issued for specified a survey and that the yearly evaluation should be entered on the school certificate.

The Latin language in the Framework Plan for Technicians has not been placed (but MEN is doing so in a way, not only in the case of this object, embarrassing, which we no longer make here). By the way, Latin would besides be taught in the 5th level of lessons per week, but in the General Education School or in a separate “afternoon” School of abroad Languages, due to the fact that not in Technik. At the beginning of the 21st century, respective Vatican Latins (classical philologists) proposed that Latin should be the authoritative language of the Community or of the European Union.

It is worth remembering, as well as the fact that modern Romanic languages are besides Latin, but in different directions in the centuries of change. In another European languages there are many expressions of Latin origin. And since in 1 non-European country in fresh generations this another ancient language has been raised to the level of common regular language and seemingly dead... Want to be able to. Yes, the above digression on Latin should be found in the erstwhile section, devoted to the General Education and Humanities School.

We besides did not include in the Plan for Techniques, although in any Specialist Schools, especially these plastic and related objects, or alternatively artistic objects – plural – are the characteristics of a given facility and are according to our working naming as Professional Subjects, as are musical objects and music related to music schools. It's obvious.

As for the selected General Purposes, for the same reasons as above, any of them will not be freely chosen for further learning by a class III postgraduate (as in option D of the Plan for Techniques), but they will be mandatory until the final class including, for example, Chemistry in Chemical Technology, becoming 1 of the same professional subjects.

We include IT-Technics in the Techniques into the hours of teaching professional subjects.

There is not in the Framework Plan for Technicians of this extended Social-Philosophical Block. However, we leave half the subject of the Propedeutics of Economics here under the name Business activity (a akin subject is called Business and Management) and half of the subject of the Law Propedeutics under the name of the Fundamental Law. Both “catches” include cognition and applicable skills, in everyday life, in microeconomics that any citizen should have.

How to enter business already at the level of an employed individual (such as those school teachers) – rights and obligations – at the level of self-employment, at the level of an employer, small, medium, large...? What can we do to avoid being amazed by the "fiscous" and not bring on both the legitimate and the absurd charges? These days... What can we do about money?

What do you spend it on? – essential expenses and their possible reduction. How and where to place money safely and beneficially? These days... Is that possible now? Under what circumstances would money be invested? Basic legal acts, as well as the prints and forms of economical life. What is now the legal body of this simple human activity? And so on...

On the another hand, a individual should be able, after learning about the Fundamentals of the Law – Codes, Laws, Regulations, types and competences of the Courts, etc. – to be able, among another things, to bring a complaint to the court himself or even to a suit in the simplest cases, so to know whether the case is just simple or already required to search advice and/or assistance from a lawyer.

A citizen should besides be able to read with knowing and with mention to circumstantial acts and provisions of the Law, both authoritative and non-official writings addressed to him, and to be able to respond correctly and in a full and adequate manner to each of these writings, frequently in writing to himself. And so on...

These "gymnasian" subjects of the Propedeutics of Economics and Propedeutics of the Law would extend the above mentioned content of "everyday life" to theoretical, source, constitutional, macroeconomic, etc.

The M.A. in Technikum and another Specialised Schools would be just like in Junior advanced School-GOS, but the 1 from Polish Language with a narrower basis of reading (but wider than all subsequent bases in Poland, in general schools, in the last at least seventy years, sic!). The specifics of the school kind discussed here will besides include an examination from the selected Professional Subject (sic!) and a applicable professional exam, which is alleged the Diploma, treated atolls as a test from the maturity exam as a separate test.

As we can see, the advanced School of Technology and another Specialist Six-Year-Old is to give a reasonably decent general-intelligent education (sic!), of course better than the best, but only four-year-old "General". At the same time, she is to give her students a circumstantial profession. And she has, like any school, to raise.
