The last speech by Prime Minister Tusk shows that he may have decided to extend the areas under his authority and to include the past, which he wants to freely form and present in the way he seems to be beneficial to him.
This kind of action, as the basis for full political power, was presented in the book “The Year 1984” George Orwell in a celebrated quote: "He who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present, controls the past."
Below is an example of how Tusk treats past facts. In his last, very emotional, parliamentary speech, he stated: “I met Mr. Putin as frequently as Mr. Kaczyński.”
It should be understood that he meant president Lech Kaczyński, as Jarosław is known to have not met Putin once, besides refusing specified a gathering in Smolensk on 10 April 2010.

Media reports of this summit besides said that Kaczyński greeted Putin there, but it was just a handshake, not a "real talk".
This cannot be completely compared to Tusk's long-term conversation with Putin, frequently in private.
