On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the second circular of presidential elections in Poland took place. The triumph of Karol Nawrocki, supported by Law and Justice (PiS), represents a serious challenge for the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The fresh President, despite deficiency of parliamentary experience, has a veto right that can effectively block the legislative initiatives of the current ruling coalition. Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of the PiS, called for the creation of a method government, while Prime Minister Tusk announced a vote of assurance in his cabinet.

International reactions

The consequence of the elections in Poland echoed internationally. Nawrocki's triumph was welcomed by leaders of the European right, specified as Viktor Orbán and Marine Le Pen.
