I encourage you to download, subscribe and watch respective twelve hours of recordings with Witnesses of Ukrainian genocide in Poles.
I besides posted any interviews on the platform. BanBye and YouTube. This is the case – I present to you an interview with Teresa Szymanska, born on 16 March 1932 in Mołotków (silicieniecki County, Volynska Voivodeship).
Teresa Szymańska remembers Poles' lives with Ukrainians until the outbreak of planet War II. During the war, good neighbourly relations broke out, and during the German business the most terrible face was taken, because, as the Witness recalls, the collaboration of Ukrainians with Germany was highly intense. Then, too, during the German business Ukrainians began to brutally execution Poles. They were so brutal that the German business troops sometimes defended the Polish civilian population. The most safe was “the Russian side” and in cities where Ukrainians in Volyn were a vast minority.
– Polish and judaic mostly lived in cities – recalls Teresa Szymanska.
In 1943, Granny and Grandpa Teresa Szymanska hid in the woods for fear of being murdered by Ukrainians. 1 day, at the proposition of Teresa Szymańska, with their daughter and granddaughter Teresa, they went to Dederkał (Siliciene County, Volynian Voivodeship), where they found shelter in the Polish house, while the nights – for fear of Ukrainians – spent in the Polish church.
– During the day, we only moved on the main streets. God forbid you get out of town... it was so dangerous. – remembers.
There was a hunger. Therefore, despite the danger threatening Poles outside the cities, Mrs Teresa's grandpa decided to go to the country to get food for his loved ones.
– Grandpa went home to the country to bring any food. Chickens catch and beat so there's plenty to eat. The Ukrainians caught him and buried him alive, buried him in the ground, didn't even kill him. A Ukrainian neighbour told us that. And so my parent was already a widow due to the fact that my father was murdered by Germans and my grandma became a widow.
It's just a part of Teresa Szymanska's story. The full communicative will be presented in item and described in volume III of the book “Neighbours. Last Witnesses of Ukrainian genocide in Poles”. Now I encourage you to watch interviews and read 2 volumes of my latest publication. Soon, further interviews are being financed by the book sales.
We don't make commercials. Support our publicist by making a acquisition in SHOPES or by Grants. Thank you.
