Tehran is ready to deal with the United States, hoping to calm the situation around the atomic programme. According to Iran’s MFA chief Abbas Aragchi, talks with representatives of America are about to take place.
Aragchi said in an interview with Al Jazira tv that he had already agreed with the United States to resume negotiations that began on Friday in the capital of Oman, Maskata. As he pointed out, the next circular of negotiations is inactive open.
"We and Washington both think that they should take place soon," Aragchi stressed. He added that the enrichment of uranium is simply a "reliable right" of Iran and "must continue".
The chief of Iranian diplomacy besides reported that, although Friday's talks with the U.S. delegation in Oman were ‘indirect’, ‘a chance to shake hands with the U.S. delegation has emerged’.
Aragchi warned one more time in fresh weeks that in the event of an attack by the U.S., Iran would respond by hitting US bases in the mediate East region.
U.S. president Donald Trump said on Friday that talks with Iran in Oman had a “very good” run, and Tehran “very keen to” make a deal with Washington.
The American side was represented by US president Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and the Iranian delegation was chaired by Aragchi. Omanu Badr al-Busaidi served as the intermediary.
Last June, a dispute over Iran's atomic program became the origin of Israel's atomic raids in Iran. In consequence to this operation, Iran's Air Force fired targets in Israel. The exchange of fire ended with the bombing of Iran's atomic installations, made by the US Air Force.
